The funniest book in Print

Ellen Degeneres is the funniest comedic performer to evergrace the stage, and now bookshelves. Her book, “My Point…and I do have one” is not your typical book written by comedians. Ellen has not written this book to tell you how much she loves her family, nor has she written it to tell you all with regards to the hard times she’s had in her life, she wrote it to fetch you extreme joy, and hours of endless laughter. When I introductory read this book in November of last year I had only heard of Ellen from an HBO Comedy Showcase, and I knew then that she was exceedingly funny. I borrowed the book from a friend and went into my room and lay down on my bed. I begun to read it and before even finishing the introductory chapter, and begun laughing, hard. Laughing so hard in fact that tears begun streaming down my eyes. My mother ran to my door and begun knocking to ask what was wrong. She thought I was crying I was laughing so hard. In her book Ellen looks at the little things in life, like what your teachers and friends thought of you when you were growing up. What it is like to have a sister or brother who is favoured. She deals with all of the issues, such as wearing fur, in the funniest manner possible. She does not tell when it comes to her life, at least not in an auto- biographical manner. She looks at the little things in life that we never take time to observe and she notices them for us and makes us laugh regarding them. No one will be capable to read more than a page of this book without breaking into glorious laughter. It is a very therapeutic book which could fetch even the most dismal of persons out of the dumps. READ IT!!!!

Read it again…and again…and again…and again…

Ellen’s initial book is SO hilarious! You may listen her voice inside your head with each word you read. Which is genuinely kind of spooky. But fun at the same time. I know she’ll come back to haunt me in the afterlife and she’ll just be talking and talking and talking to me non-stop. I’ll never be competent to take a shower alone again.

Anyway…I’ve read this book twice now, and it never ceases to amaze me with it is laugh-out-loud humor and prose. I pick it up when I need a good laugh. In fact, that makes it a great pick-me-up! It never gets old for me.

I’ve also given this book as a gift to friends. Thankfully you may find it actually cheap now.

So what are you waiting for? Order this book and you’ll have something to read over and over and over again! You’ll never have to buy another book.

Without doubt, this is one of the funniest books I have ever read… and read… and read. And each time I read it, I laugh all over again. I even took it to work and read it out deafening to a coworker on our lunch breaks. Each day, we’d read a new chapter. Whether you’re a fan of Ellen, never heard of Ellen, or can’t stand Ellen, you’ve got to read this book. She has such an unconventional way of looking at things and relating a story. She’ll keep you laughing for hours.

Yet another JL favourite

You Belong to Me is a fantasti story, which is a sequel to Once A Princess. Alexandra Rubliov and Vasili Petroff are forced to honour a betrothal agreement that their fathers ‘supposedly’ arranged. Neither are happy regarding it and do their damndest to get the other to break the engagement. Set in Russian times, you may just imagine the expolsive tempers that they both have. I loved the manner in which Alexandra tried to disgust Vasili and found myself laughing as I thought that Vasili was a bit too full of himself and unquestionably necessitated taking down a peg or two. The passion that flares amid them was consuming. Neither were prepared to give an inch. Most unquestionably a keeper, as are all of JL’s books (even the odd bad one). This is yet another JL book that I read over and over again.

Vasili Meets His Match

Vasili was so nasty and arrogant in “Once a Princess,” he was downright charming! I fell in love right away. I couldn’t wait for Johanna Lindsey to write his sequel, and am rather pleased with the results.

To summarize quickly, “You Belong to Me” throws together finelooking Vasili with wild Russian Alexandra, a tomboy and horse breeder. They are duped into a betrothal by Alexandra’s father and plot endless amusive ways to strength the other to break it before the actual wedding takes place.

Vasili is plainly stimulating – the “peacock” is so insulting and contrary it’s a pleasure to once again see him in action. As for Alexandra, she’s his match in spirit and temperament, returning his barbs and hot air with equivalent passion. Plus, she is so jealous she threatens to cut off the ears of all of Vasili’s “women,” which makes for a fun scene or two.

Speaking of “other women,” Lindsey likewise spices up the story with Alexandra’s refusal to give up hope that her introductory love, Christopher, will marry her. Add to that Vasili’s numerous conquests – including his own personal concubine – and you find grounds for a few severe arguments amidst the unwillingly betrothed pair.

The passion amid them is fun, whether it’s love or hate, and the setting allows for a lot of action. After all, they are journeying by horseback and wagon from Russia to Cardinia, Vasili’s hometown, for the wedding. This allows bandits to sneak up on them and other fine messes to follow. Plus, every one from “Once a Princess” makes a welcome appearance.

The only negative things I may say when it comes to “You Belong to Me” is that Russia wasn’t used as much as a setting. If you’d like to read a hot Russian romance by Lindsey, read “Secret Fire” with regards to Prince Dimitri and the Englishwoman he steals. Plus, “You Belong to Me” is very similar in plot to “Joining,” a later Lindsey novel, in which the medieval hero and heroine practically kill each other to break their not wanted betrothal as well.

The only reason I didn’t give “You Belong to Me” 5 stars is because it is prequel, “Once a Princess” is an all-time favored and, in my opinion, 10 times better.

Johanna Lindsey never dissapoints me in all of her splendid compassionate romance stories.Romance runs wilded in ‘You Belong to Me’, exceptionally amid Alexandra and Vasili. Many elements of the story are emphasised in respective ways showing so much unexpressible comparatively explanations. I was so much inclined with this book that led to a sense not one thing could be done while reading ‘You Belong to Me’, except placing yourself as the main character, Alex. Romance is the key to enticement. I strongly commend EVERYONE to read this story. Positively,I am sure that little repents will remain.

These soft and endearing little creatures have been around since 2005. Although it took me until May 2007 to in the end meet my original ones. I was living in New York and it was in truth an adult who owned assorted of these stuffed animals. She was a school teacher who came throughout the Webkinz when one of her pupils brought one to class. She quickly grew attached and raced to the nearest toy store to load up on this new craze. I do not forget she had the Clydesdale horse and my favorite, a Koala, that I could not protest hugging. She was anxiously awaiting the release of the Raccoon, which was being freed in June 2007. I recall this grown, professional woman sounding like a child on Christmas morning as she described the value and fun of owning one of these Webkinz!

I personally didn’t get it but that doesn’t matter to the Gantz company who gives rise to these stuffed animals and since there is no shortage of Webkinz fans out there. These days you may find almost each animal or creature made into a Webkinz. This month alone, August 2008, will be the release of a great deal of more including a silver-back Gorilla and a Skunk. Next month will include a Bat, a Chipmunk and a lot of more. This Christmas season you may run out and buy a Snowman.. I personally think they will have to have come up with a Snow Lady to match!

On this internet site you may play games or interact with your pet. They even have their own room that you may buy furniture for and embellish to your little hearts content.

I have gone to various web sites to learn more in regards to the Webkinz and was astonished to find all the fun things that are related with these cute little stuffed toys. One of the a lot of cool things was making meals for your virtual pet. There are tons of recipes with funny names such as, “Sloppy Joekinz, Spinneretti or Monstrosoupy”. Fun fun fun – Kids love it! Get you cam ready as they WILL dance!

If you have anybody in the single digit age range, buy this CD. My 5yo neice is going for the record books listening to it. Actually, I purchased the original CD because I am a BiG supporter of Charice, who had a little share in the movie and sings “No One” . . . she has a ton of talent packed into a 94lb body.

good for the kids

I picked this album up for my 4 year old daughter and she loves it. She in truth likes Alvin and the Chipmunks and was in truth excessively affected emotionally when I told her I purchased this for her. We have listened to it assorted times, and she sings along to most of the songs. I think it’s a nice mix of older and newer songs. For kids who like the Chipmunks, this is a outstanding item to pick up/download.
