U803 Channel Military Helicopter Gyroscope

U803 Channel Military Helicopter Gyroscope

The U803 Apache RC Helicopter is stylish and fun! The U803 comes equipped with LED lights which may be controlled for the duration of flight. It is one of the newest, smallest and lightest RC helicopter you may get. It measures 7″ in length and fits without apparent effort in the palm of your hand. The gyroscope technology the helicopter uses makes flight very stable. The 3 channels grant the helicopter to fly up, down, left, right, forwards & backwards. This helicopter is so stable you may in a literal sense land it on your palm! This helicopter looks much like the Military Helicopter Apache and has a very elaborate body made of lasting plastic. The helicopter is charged using the included USB cable. Use the cable to connect the helicopter to a USB port (found on your computer) and it will totally charge in 30 minutes. The controller uses 6 AA batteries. Suitable for indoor flying only. Ages 14+. Bring home this cool helicopter today! This would make a outstanding gift for those who are new to R/C sideline helicopters!

4great lil helo for the price.
By A. Chan
Great Helo, looks cool, reasonably easy to fly. They seem to be finelooking lasting and motor seems rather strong. The only downside is the charging plug that plugs into the helo itself. It seems a bit fragile equated to other types I’ve seen. Battery life seems to be in regards to 45-1hr of fly time before it starts to affect the flying. Overall for the price it works well.

3Great toy for the $, but has a few quirks
By Phrancis
Inexpensive and very fun to fly around the house. A micro RC helicopter that doesn’t cost and arm and a leg, that may take a beating, and still be comparatively easy to fly accurately is each little boy’s dream. I have the firstborn foam 2 ch SpinMasters helicopter and the 3 ch Syma S010 without the gyro or remote operated lights, so I feel that I’m reasonably experienced with these toys.

This Apache has a very well elaborated plastic body and with the larger 3.7v battery, it flies much more immediate than the former 1.7v choppers. The controls are a bit over-sensitive in that the slightest movements on the right stick rotates it or pitches it forward at close to full speed – almost not much proportional control. The Syma might have been slower and didn’t have the gyro, but it was smoother and more precise in controlling it. My Apache likewise seems to have a defective gyro or control system, because while hovering, it continually spins clockwise slowly, even if the trim is set as far as possible to compensate. As the battery winds down, that clockwise spinning gets a bit more quickly and I have to utilise a heap of left rudder to recompense further, which is difficult because the rudder is again overly sensitive. I likewise don’t like the non-spring loaded throttle. It makes it far to easy to crash into something and then do further harm to the blades because the throttle is still up. As you fly around an indoor space you’ll still be making uninterrupted adjustments to the throttle, so I see why they need to have it stick to one setting.

As far as instructional value, well it looks like a traditionalisti helicopter, but the propeller configuration and flight control systems are much dissimilar – probably for less to create but less “accurate” or true to life. Being capable to turn on the lights from the remote is very nice but I wish the colored lights would have been placed more “authentically” on the tail and sides as real navigation lights rather of the weird rainbow strobe thingy underneath the tail. Charge time is much longer than the older 1.5v choppers, but you get a USB cable so you won’t eat through as a good deal of AA batteries. Flight time are regarding the same and you might still have to adjust trim a lot and have fine coordination with the controls. Also, be prepared for bad “Engrish” on the instruction manual! Not a bad toy for the $
