We just got this bike earlier this week, but not only does my 20 month old son love this bike, but both of his parents do too!!! The calibers that I was looking for when I exploration a bike for my son were:
a push handle for mom and dad,
durable,
safe,
seatbelt, and
adjustable seat so he could grow with the bike.
This bike not only has a push handle, but one better, a steering handle. My son doesn’t in truth recognise how to push the pedals yet, so he sits and holds on and mom and dad may actually push AND steer the bike – what a GREAT feature. This bike is largely metal and I feel that it will be very lasting (I can’t in truth tell for sure since we have only used it a week). The bike likewise seems safe, we haven’t had any spills yet. Seat belt – this bike didn’t come with a seat belt, but we genuinely didn’t need one after all, he is sitting just fine on the bike. Ajustable seat – it may be adjusted to three dissimilar positions in relation to the handle bars (note: no vertical adjustment only horizontal).
The promotion likewise mentions a place for the child to put their feet. We actually aren’t finding the emplacement of this feature to be useful. It is too far back on the bike for my son to feel comfortable to put his feet there. BUT when collected correctly (I put the front pedal on backwards to start out with) the front pedals won’t turn without being pushed so they are like foot rests until he gets the hang of pedaling.
Also, this bike has great colors, a little pouch to store those fantasti collectables (rocks, etc.) picked up along the way, and made by a reputable company (Radio Flyer).
Assembly was rather easy (just make sure you put the front tire on in the right way – facing the right way). The hubcaps were a bit troublesome, but ok overall.
This bike had a heap of of the same features of the more pricey [price] range bikes, but we only paid with regards to [price] for this one.
I am highly recommending the Radio Flyer Steer and Stroll to all I recognise with kids this age range.

Strange reviews – splendid product
By Baivab Mitra
I am seeing reviews which do not match the product description. Maybe RadioFlyer changed their model. This is the review versus 2009 model I purchased for my 19 month son.
The product arrived well packed and is heavy. There are scarcely ANY plastic parts, all metal. Assembling took a lot of time, altho descriptive with drawings but counsel you to keep your child elsewhere while assembling! On a severe note – when attaching the front steering wheel, make sure to primary put in the wheel bar (U-shaped) and then try fitting the steering handle.
Anyways – the product is SOLID and well balanced. I do not genuinely see a need for seat harness if you’re purchasing this and your child is already +18 months. There’s a bell included but it’s very basic and in truth useless. The color is red and well painted which does not seem likely to begin peeling. The seat’s good, steering handles are good and sturdy.
It’s rather easy to steer with 1 good thing – they have curtailed the amount your child may steer – right or left. This means less prospects of toppling and when I picked it up – it’s very evident the engineers have kept a low center of gravity. Picking it up for taking it down/up stairs is very simple – provisioning it by a whole in the seat back portion.
The parent’s attachment is substantially long sufficient and thence one may without apparent effort steer it and push it forward.
There are galore good thoughts they did – a child can’t in truth pedal but they do tend to put their foot on the pedal. This does NOT stop the parent from pushing the bike. The wheels are free cruising and thence you may pedal forward.
Next, the front wheel is 10″. That’s substantial for this size bike. The tires though plastic look rather solid – front and back.
There’s a review on the steering conception utilized. I am not sure whether it’s for an older model. But there ARE NO CABLES IN THIS MODEL I BOUGHT. it’s a gear system, internally located within the pipes connecting back to steering wheels and handle. It’s rather stable and responsive.

Can ultimately use a trike in our hilly neighborhood!!
By B. Berryman
So I purchased the Radio Flyer Steer & Stroll reluctantly. I read all the bad reviews and expected to be unhappy with my purchase. I went in front and purchased it because I wasn’t more than willing to shell out the dough to buy the higher end push trikes out there.
Boy have I been enjoyably suprised! I love the Radio Flyer Steer & Stroll. It suits our intents perfectly. We live in a very hilly neighborhood, so my son was plainly unable to ride a trike without a push handle, just too dangerous (and totally unlikely to get up the hills). Now I may hold him back going down the hills and give him a push going up the hills. He loves it!
The steering feature works wonderfully. I love the handle, it’s very comfortable and easy to use, just steer with a twist of the wrist.
As for durablilty, it seems well made. Maybe they’ve bettered after past bad reviews? Sure, it’s a lot of plastic on a metal frame, but I think beneath normal use it’ll hold up fine.
The only “con” I’ve found is that it can’t be petaled backward. DS thinks petalling backward is hysterical, but the petals just freewheel if you try it on this trike. (I assume this is due to the parental steering function)
