Limited interactivity, but fun for little girls.
By P. Hamm
What a great idea for a kid who wants a dog, but you don’t want or can’t have one. It walks kinda slow, so as the kid gets older he won’t take pleasure in it as much. the interactivity is a bit unpredictable (like a dog), but you pet the dog’s hand and it coos a bit or barks happily. Very fun.
My beef with this product is that it would be a bargain at 30 dollars and in all likelihood somewhat priced at 40, but [...] is an aweinspiring lot for something that does as little as this product. It’s way over-priced and that’s the reason I give it only 3 stars.
It does come with batteries installed and it’s turned on, so it barks when you move the box. That gave me a severe giggle as it sat in the back of my car, barking when I made a turn.
I think a 4 or 5 year girl will like it. I think a boy won’t as much, and I think 7 or 8 is in all likelihood too old.

Fun but not a lot of fun
By Thomas Paul
GoGo the walking pup is cute and is rather a bit of fun. It responds to being pet in a way that makes you want to pet it more. We have seen numerous persons react to it as if it was a real dog, attempting to call him and rubbing him on his neck. If you ignore GoGo it will whine for attention but then go to sleep after a little while. If you move near one of it is sensors it will wake up and bark for attention. My son, who is autistic, enjoys playing with him and petting him and even attempting to feed him. He has been a little rough with GoGo and GoGo has endured the abuse without any problems. I think the long term enjoyment of GoGo is probably fixed because GoGo genuinely may only do so much. But don’t be amazed if you find yourself petting GoGo while he is sitting on your lap and you’re watching TV.

Broken after one day!
By Mommy of Two Little Darlings
My daughter was dying for this for her 4th birthday. It was the only thing she wanted. She even had a dream she had gotten it a few nights before her party and was so sad when she got up in the morning to get him and he was not there. Anyway, she got it at her birthday party and she was so happy. She walked around with it and took him everywhere. She “walked” him a little but largely carried him around because he is rather slow moving. She was so sweet and tame with him like it was a real puppy. That night we shut him off and put him away. In the morning as soon as she woke up she went over to play with him and he wasn’t working, he would make noises, but not walk. I figured the batteries were going dead so I changed them, and then it would do nothing. So I put the old batteries back in and nothing. I worked on him a little over the next few days altering batteries, making sure the cord was all the way in and reading the manual and internet for anything to support me fix her new best friend. However he would not work properly. At one point he started making noises again and would not stop barking like he was having a meltdown. My daughter was so sad, when we brought him back to the store she did not even want to get another one and undertake it again. Everytime she sees the mercantile on TV she has a sad little pout and says “I wish he worked.” I had seen other reviews before I purchased it with regards to the same thing happening to others, but she wanted it so badly. Just thought I ought to warn others.
