About the Author
Hans Augusto Rey was born in Hamburg, Germany in 1898. As a child, he expended much of his free time in that city’s famous Hagenbeck Zoo drawing animals. After serving in the army for the duration of World War I, he studied philology and natural science at the University of Hamburg. He then married Margret Rey and they moved to Montmartre for four years. The manuscript for the introductory Curious George books was one of the few items the Reys carried with them on their bicycles when they escaped from Paris in 1940. Eventually, they made their way to the United States, and Curious George was published in 1941. Curious George has been published in numerous languages, including French, German, Japanese, Afrikaans, and Norwegian. Additional Curious George books followed, as well as such other favorites as CECILY G. AND THE NINE MONKEYS and FIND THE CONSTELLATIONS.

1the “snuggly-size blanket” is the size of a washcloth
By Loraina
The “snuggly-size blanket” is the size of a washcloth, and it needs to be hand washed and dried flat. No wonder they didn’t put tha actual size in the description. It looked like a good deal, but this is a good example of “you get what you pay for.” One thing you won’t get is a real blanket.

5Love it
By Eddie’s grandma
I gave this to my grandson and it has since become his blankie that he cuddles with to go to sleep. I have actually had to get him a second one because it needs to be washed so he may alternate if needed. He loves it, it is not a blanket, it is little but he cuddles with it and loves it.

5adorable baby present at a great price
By avid reader
Yes, the blanket is small. I think it’s meant more to hold than to cover. I gave this as a shower present and it got rave views. It’s actually cute and not the same old, same old.
