Awesome
By CoffeeMonger
I have had multiple experiences with other manufacturers [neocube who assert to be the original] and buckyballs. I found a lot of neocubes broke down to silver flakes and chipped very easily, and are comparatively little [i think it is 4mm vs the buckyball 5mm]. I have had a incident with buckyballs flaking once, but never again.
Their client service is superb. It is quick, they are very responsive to everything you need from them. I would commend them for that alone.
On to the product, it is a great product, same as the firstborn silver ones that I fell in love with playing before. They feel sturdier than the other brands, and ‘feel’ more like they will stay the way they are supposed to, and particularly since this is i believe nickel plated [for the black color] it still maintains that quality feel; that it won’t flake, or chip off.
The black does seem to make it a little more “manly” if you will, and adds class [if you deem it applicable] to the product. Also meaning, that it doesn’t look like a great deal of generic item you purchased at numerous “saw it on tv” store or something. The color, quality, and feel all make it a great product to play with and get enjoyment from anyplace really. I ofttimes used it in class, and it is a great speech starter, in particular if you have memorized a good deal of of the special shapes you may build out of these magnets. It helps stimulate your mind, while relaxing at the same time.
Another thing I like when it comes to buckyballs vs neocube is the case. It comes in a very nice package [makes you feel like you expended your cash for something] and with a plastic carrying case, [the neocube came in a plastic cover with a cardboard backing] came with a reasonably cheap sentiment felt? pouch type deal. The only plus to neocubes is that it came with 4-5 i forget, extra balls in case you occur to lose some.
Some tips for use, undertake to find a old credit or plastic card, for example a starbucks card and [you may likewise cut it to fit inside the case, kind of like the keychain starbucks card] and use that to evenly cut the magnets to make shapes.

The most beautiful toy out there
By B. Mayer
Pun intended.
These little spheres are fun. There’s in truth no other way to describe it. Their aesthetic appeal is matched by the endless amusement they provide. I was a little hesitant when it comes to buying the actual buckyballs, and was tempted to go for one of the for less alternatives. But I decisive to spend a few extra dollars and got these instead, and I don’t regret it at all.
They do take a bit of getting employed to, as their properties cause them to be a bit temperamental regarding when they stick one way and when they stick another. The more you play with them though, the more you are capable to formulate with them. They are very strong, and playing with them for too long does leave one’s fingertips a little sore. I suppose that will go away after a while though. I haven’t noticed any chipping or flaking, and I’ve put them through a reasonable amount of abuse.
As far as their client service goes, I wish I could give them a hundred stars. When my buckyballs arrived, there were 215 black ones and 1 gold one. They were still lots of fun to play with, but whenever I made something the gold one would stand out, and was a bit of an eyesore. I emailed Zoomdoggle, and they took care of the issue without delay (they replied in 1 hour and 45 minutes) and substituted the odd one out at no cost to me.
My only complaint with regards to this product is that there may be some untrue advert on their share going on… the Buckyballs are marketed as a “desktoy,” but I can’t seem to get ANY work done with these little guys hanging around.
EDIT: Just a word of precaution, undertake to keep these off of the floor. They pick up tiny bits of metal (the source of which remains a mystery to me), which are exceedingly difficult to remove (I commend plastic tweezers) and may potentially scratch the surface of the product if left unattended, due to the strength of the magnets. This doesn’t reflect poorly on the product, since they are doing incisively what they are designed to do. I was just astonished that there were occasional tiny flakes of metal in my carpet.

Don’t bother with Black Bucky Balls – Black Plating comes off
By KokomoSam
After two of my co-workers got the original/regular Buck balls, I decisive to get some as a cube toy as well. However, I decisive to spend more and get a dissimilar color. That was a mistake. After what I would consider light use, my hands would turn black from touch the balls. Later the plating that makes them black started to peel of some of the balls. leaving rough and sharp edges. Making them unusable. Save the extra cash and buy the firstborn Bucky balls.
