5Useful cow magnet
By J. Knopp
I use these magnets for the duration of contruction to find nails or screws in the wall while doing “surgical demolition”. I place a piece of surgical tubing to 1 end and keeping the tubing end, run the magnet along the wall. When it finds a fastener, the end holds to that position. Note that only the ends attract anything. Great little tool.

These magnets have some uses other than cattle. I use mine to locate studs in finished walls (via the sheet rock screws or nails), to retrieve items dropped in hard to reach places, heck, I even employed it to remove a little chunk of ferrous metal that became lodged amid my eyelid and eyeball! They also may be kept up next to most mercantile fire alarm systems’ smoke detectors to trigger them (for testing intents only!!! :P ) I wish I had assorted more of them cause magnets are fun!!!!
